      Meditation and Me - A Monthly Exploration of Meditation Practices

      Meditation and Me explores The Eight Aspects of God through Meditation September 4th October 2nd Light, Sound, Peace, Calmness, Infinite Love, Joy, Wisdom, and Power These are the Eight Aspects of God as defined in the book, “The Essence of Self-Realization” by Swami Kriyananda. Meditation and Me has created an experiential program that allows the student to align with and draw energy from each aspect during meditation. This four-part program began on July 10th and continued on August 7th. The next two sessions are September 4th and October 2nd. While the sessions share a common theme, the individual sessions are free-standing. See program descriptions below. The programs run from 7-8 pm at Unity of Dallas, 6525 Forest Ln, Dallas, TX 75230. A love offering for the church is requested. These sessions are suitable for beginners and a brief overview of posture and meditation techniques are covered in each class. Most people sit in chairs to meditate and a few sit on the floor using cushions or pillows. Feel free to bring pillows, blankets, meditation benches – anything that to ensure your comfort while meditating. September 4th Program - What the World Needs Now -          Discussion – Meditation to bring Peace, Calmness, and Infinite Love into our lives and the world -          Instruction – Posture and preparing to meditate -          Guided Meditation (about 20 minutes) Walking on Water –Remaining calm in the midst of a storm and bringing calmness to stormy situations Real Love – Practicing unconditional love for yourself and all beings Be the Peace – audio meditation - listening to AUM – Shanti in a meditative state -          Silent meditation (5-10 minutes) October 2nd Program - The Power of Meditation -          Discussion – Meditation to bring Joy, Wisdom, and Power into our lives and the world -          Instruction – Posture and preparing to meditate -          Guided Meditation (about 20 minutes) Joy to the World – Using candles as our meditative focus, we rest in joy as our birthright Recognizing Your True Power – Discovering and using your power to experience the life you desire Listen to Yourself – Using the third-eye chakra as our focal point, we listen to our interior voice, the voice of wisdom and intuition -          Silent meditation (5-10 minutes) Please direct questions to Lynne Patterson – text: 972-890-1031 email: lynne.meditates@gmail.com Love Offering of $5-$10 suggested.
