Wheatland Rd., Dallas, TXAccording to the United States Department of Education, more than 85% of America’s black male K-12 students, in particular, are not proficient in reading. Poor reading skills among youth and children of color today will produce a number of negative social outcomes for them, their families, and communities tomorrow. This project seeks to prevent the negative social impacts of illiteracy. For more information contact Rev. David McGruder at dmcgruder@friendshipwest.org or call 972-228-5200
