      'Northwood Literary Festival'

      In Lambert Commons

      Northwood's literary festival features Dallas poet Willie Sims and fiction writers Robin Romm and Don Waters. The morning event features Sims and Waters. The evening fiction reading showcases Romm, Waters and Sims.

      Willie Sims is a performance poet and storyteller from L.A.

      Robin Romm's debut story collection, The Mother Garden, was published by Scribner in July 2007. She has an MFA from SFSU and a BA from Brown University where she received the Barbara Banks Brodsky prize for her first story collection, Certain Kinds of Illness.

      Don Waters' debut story collection, Desert Gothic, winner of the Iowa Short Fiction Award, will be published by The University of Iowa Press in the fall of 2007.
