Mad Hatter’s Tea Under the Tuscan Sun

Celebrating its 29th year, this fabulous and fun party has been an ongoing fundraising event sponsored by the Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. Monies raised grow and maintain A Woman’s Garden, a major garden at the Dallas Arboretum.

Over 500 guests, some from as far away as California, plan their trips to Dallas not only to take part in the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party – many in wild and wonderful over-the-top hats - but to view the glorious springtime azalea displays and flowers that grace the Dallas Arboretum.

Event includes champagne reception in Ginsburg Plaza, professionally staged and choreographed fashion presentation produced by the inimitable Jan Strimple, followed by a seated luncheon under elegantly draped tents. Hats are judged in different categories. Winners are announced at the fashion show and strut the runway.

Celebrity Guest: Rachel Zoe, an unparalleled fixture in the fashion world known for her unique take on effortless glamour. She is a designer, stylist and editor celebrated for shaping the images of Oscar-winning actresses and creating collections that embody her modern and sophisticated look. Having immersed herself in fashion and design for over two decades, she has been heralded as one of the most influential forces working in the industry today. Through her work as a stylist, her eponymous contemporary collection, her digital media division, which includes the online style destination, The Zoe Report, and many entrepreneurial endeavors, Rachel has made her own brand of everyday glamour accessible to all. Rachel’s first book, Style A to Zoe, debuted in 2007 and was a New York Times bestseller. Her second book is Living in Style. (Bio. taken from Living in Style.)
