Keeping the Faith, Faith & Work Edition; an interfaith dialogue

Come join five women from different faith backgrounds as they explore what it means to be a woman of faith in North Texas.

"Keeping the Faith, Faith & Work Edition" will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 6 to 7:30 pm in the O’Hara Exhibit Hall on the 7th Floor of the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library.

This interfaith panel discussion features women of Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu and Buddhist beliefs sharing their unique and common challenges of balancing faith, work and gender.

The free event is hosted by the Texas Muslim Women's Foundation, Daughters of Abraham, The Thanks-Giving Foundation’s Interfaith Council, Multicultural Alliance, Royal Lane Baptist Church, and the Humanities Division of the Dallas Public Library.

The event marks the one-year return of the panelists to the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library. Their first public event was in September 2016 at the Library. During the past year, the panelists have met at Fort Worth Library and Royal Lane Baptist Church.

Panelists are Resident Minister of the Vedanta Society of North Texas, Pravrajika Brahmaprana; Southern Methodist University Professor of Supervised Ministry, Dr. Isabel Docampo; community educator, volunteer and activist, Rabbi Nancy Kasten; journalist and activist Dina Malki; and speaker and activist Beth Keenan. The moderator is Dr. Robert Hunt, Director of Global Theological Education at the Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University.
